How do I create or join a team?

If you just want to start your race at the same time as your friends*, you'll need to create a team.

*Some stipulations apply. 

Don't worry, it's easy to create or join a team:

 

During registration, how do I Create or Join a team?

  1. Begin the registration process as usual, but be sure to select the time block in which you would like your team to run.  Racers can only join teams that are set up for the time block they are registering for ("morning," "afternoon," etc.).
  2. After filling out your personal information and agreeing to the waiver, you'll arrive on the "Team Selection" page.
  3. On that step, you'll be given three options:
    1. Register as individual
    2. Join existing team
    3. Create new team
  4. Select the "Create new team" option.
  5. Then, enter your team name into the box.
  6. If you would like to add a password, you can do so by clicking the check box and entering your chosen password.  (NOTE: You will need to enter the password EXACTLY the same way into each field.)


  7. Then, click the "Next" button to continue onto the next step of the registration process.
  8. As soon as you finish registering by checking out, the team will be created.
  9. You are now the captain of a team. Your friends can join your team during their registration process.

How to join an existing team:

    1. Begin the registration process as usual, and be sure to select the time block that you're team is signed up for.  Racers can only join teams that are set up for the time block they are registering for ("Morning," "Afternoon," etc.).
    2. After filling out your personal information and agreeing to the waiver, you'll arrive on the "Team Selection" page.
    3. On that step, you'll be given three options:
      1. Register as individual
      2. Join existing team
      3. Create new team
    4. Select the "Create new team" option
    5. Then, you'll need to search for your team, by entering the team name into the box.  (If you don't know the exact spelling of your team, just search part of the name.)
    6. Entering all or part of the name will bring up a list of team names below the search bar.  Scroll down and find your team.
    7. Then, check the box beside your team name.
    8. If your team requires a password to join, you'll need to enter it now.
    9. Then, click the "Next" button to continue onto the next step of the registration process.
    10. As soon as you are done with the registration process, you'll be counted as a team member.
    11. If your team is signed up for a different heat (Elite vs Morning for example) you will not see their name appear. You cannot join a team in a different wave. You can create a team with the same name to be counted for the biggest team competition, however you will not be moved to their start time. 

 

 

Once I am registered, how do I Create, Join or Change a team?

1) Log into your Chronotrack Account as you normally would. See link below for help.

2) Once in your profile you will see the events tab. Select upcoming events.

 

3) Once you select the specific event, you will see the following tabs on the right side.

  • Join Team, Create Team and Change Team

4) To join an existing team, please select Join Team.

- Use the search bar and find your team name. Enter password (if applicable).  

5) To create a new team, please select Create Team or Create New Team.

 

- Enter your requested team name and password if needed. Password not required. 

6) To change to a different team, please select Change Team.

- Just use search box to find your new team. Then submit. 

* Please note, all athletes who wish to have the same start time must be in the same session, (elite, competitive, morning or afternoon). For example, if a team has members registered for both Morning start times and Afternoon start times, all Morning start time team members will be grouped together within the Morning block, and all Afternoon start time team members will be grouped together within the Afternoon block.

* Please note that all team adjustments must be made at least 15 days before the event.
